In a recent Devs Talk, a sneak peek was provided into The Way of Winter patch and the upcoming PvE scenario set to be released on October 17.
The Way of Winter Scenario will consist of 5 seasonal phases, each lasting for different durations. The first 4 phases will be the main gameplay phases, with various gameplay elements and challenges. The final phase will allow players to sign up and proceed to the next scenario.
Phase 1, known as Arctic Domain, will last for 7 days and feature extreme weather conditions in the Snowy Realm. Various gameplay events like Public Crisis Events, Hales’ Moving House, Cargo Conquest, and Securement Silos will be available.
Phase 2, Scattered Ash, will last for 8 days and present challenges like lava flows and surging heat. New areas like Ember Strand will be unlocked, along with dungeons in Hard Mode.
Phase 3, A Glimmer of Hope, will last for 10 days and focus on building a home with other Metas. Different gameplay tasks and progress tasks will be available for players to complete.
Phase 4, The End of Ice and Fire, will last for 10 days and introduce new threats like giants of ice and fire. Players will have to eliminate chaosweavers and protect wonders in the Snowy Realm.
Phase 5, Break of Dawn, will symbolize hope and courage in the Snowy Realm as a new season becomes available for signing up.
The Way of Winter patch will also update seasonal tags and prize pools on October 17. Changes to Cradle Override and blueprint conversion features will also be introduced to enhance player experience and customization options.
